Delvaux has unveiled a new collection inspired by the works of René Magritte, the iconic surrealist artist. To celebrate this, a pop-up store will be held at The Stage on the first floor of Isetan Shinjuku from Wednesday, January 29 to Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
This capsule collection, launched in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Surrealist movement in 2024, reinterprets Magritte’s signature motifs with a modern twist. Delvaux is also an official partner of the Surrealism exhibition at the Pompidou Center in Paris, blending art and fashion in an exciting new way.
The pop-up store will immerse visitors in a fantastical space inspired by Magritte’s artworks. Many new bags will be showcased, some of which will be making their Japanese debut. At the entrance, a large tree will recreate Magritte’s painting "September 16th", adorned with the apple-shaped strap case, "La Pomme Crossbody". Additionally, the "Brillant Wavey" bag, featuring a curved handle, will be displayed in an exhibition inspired by the orange motif from Magritte’s work "The Art of Living", capturing his playful and humorous worldview.
