Prada is set to host two exciting events in Osaka in collaboration with renowned Japanese architect Kazuyo Sejima. The Inujima Project private preview will be held from June 4th to June 6th, 2025, followed by PRADA MODE Osaka, which will run from June 8th to June 15th, 2025.
Since its debut in 2008, Prada Mode has been an event series offering exclusive experiences centered on contemporary culture, including art, music, food, and entertainment. The Osaka edition, marking the 12th installment of the series, will take place on June 8, 2025. Both events are organized by Kazuyo Sejima & Associates, with Sejima showcasing her architectural vision for Inujima (a small island in Okayama Prefecture) through these immersive experiences.
PRADA MODE Osaka will be hosted in a large, roofed facility designed by Sejima's architectural firm SANAA, located in Umekita Park, Osaka. This newly opened space will serve as a venue for Sejima to present her architectural work, including models and video materials that reflect her innovative designs.
Before the event, the Inujima Project will offer a private preview, giving a glimpse into the island’s history and Sejima's architectural contributions over the last 17 years, along with her future plans for the island. A significant highlight of this event will be the unveiling of the Inujima Living Botanical Garden Pavilion, a permanent installation designed by Sejima and donated to the island by Prada.
Sejima described Inujima as "a small island rich in nature, where history, architecture, art, and everyday life merge in symbiosis." In Osaka, with its deep connection to Inujima, she invites visitors to share in this experience through dialogue and discovery at PRADA MODE, where a new landscape will emerge and continue to grow with participation.
